Please refer to the Utah County Interactive Map available on this website for more detail.The decision to select ‘Option D’ as the Preferred Option in the Provo-Orem area is based upon comments received from federal and state agencies, local governments, and the general public; and the needs along the I-15 Corridor, while minimizing environmental impacts. A detailed explanation and discussion of the impacts will be included in the FEIS. A final decision will not be made until approval of the FEIS and the Record of Decision (ROD) is signed by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).NEXT STEPS

• UDOT will prepare a response to all DEIS comments in the FEIS.
• Based on the comments received and the technical analysis in the DEIS, FHWA will select a preferred alternative.
• A FEIS will be prepared that describes the selected alternative and addresses comments received.
• A Record of Decision (ROD) will be prepared that formalizes the selection of a preferred alternative and concludes the NEPA process.
